IBM Slovakia’s commitment to developing women in management positions, providing children’s rooms for employees with children, and supporting working parents with workshops and education, were just some of the factors the jury considered when choosing IBM as the winner in the category: Support for gender equality and gender wise equal ratio of women in management.

“Equal opportunity is one of the key elements of our recruitment policy, in fact, half of the population in IBM Slovakia are females.” explains Lucia Groneova,  HR Manager for IBM ISC who joined IBM straight after her maternity leave, because IBM gave her this opportunity of flexible working time.

This awards program has been run by the Ministry since 2000, with IBM winning the award previously in 2009. IBM was also part of a panel discussion on diversity initiatives. Among the list of the participants in panel discussion was Mrs Inga Magistad, the Ambassadress of Norway.
