IBM Executive Claudia Brind-Woody on the Value of Being Authentic, and Bringing Your Whole Self to Work

Claudia Brind-Woody is an IBM female executive based in the United Kingdom. As the leader for IBM Global Intellectual Property Licensing, Claudia runs a source code licensing team, IBM’s Small Divestiture Practice, the IP Partnership program, and a specialized consulting group known as IP Management Solutions. Claudia has been with IBM since 1996, and has held multiple global roles during her tenure, including work in Finland and the United Kingdom.

We interviewed Claudia and asked her about her learnings and insights from her distinguished IBM career, as well as her advice on what it takes to become a great leader. Claudia also talks about her role as one of the co-chairs of the IBM Global Executive Taskforce for LGBT Constituencies. As part of this role, she speaks globally on the topic of diversity, as well as coaching employees and clients in the diversity space. Claudia also shares the importance of managing work life balance by finding something outside of work which allows us to de-stress and take time out from work.
